John, This image works for me. The bird is sharp (what species is it?), the BG color is great and the apple behind the bird is OOF enough not to take away from the bird. I like it.

Hey John ! I am not sure either. The bird is perfect, nice colors and sharpness. The apples are complementing the colors, but are rather big and one is out of focus, with is slightly distracting to me. On the other hand, they were there.. Just to be clear, I would be more than happy with a quality shot of this, since Fieldfares are difficult to approach (at least over here) - but since you asked . Bottom line : I like it ! Cheers, Hans

A really nice shot John. Very sharp on the bird and great context with the apples. Well done.

I like this a lot...do you have more room all around??? I'd like to see it with the whole apple on the bottom. Bird is nice and sharp and an interesting species. Sharon

I like this too. The bird looks good, I'm fine with the apples and the background is nice. I'm unsure about the crop (if it is one) at bottom though since it cuts off the apple and the twig end to its right seems a little awkward coming into the frame like it does. I'd consider either cropping out the twig or lowering the crop to include all of the apple and twig if I had the room.

The bird looks absolutelly perfect: completely sharp and well exposed. About the apples, I think the foreground apple is a bit distracting.
