Wood Duck Drake
by Jim DeWitt
Olympus E-5, 300mm x 2.0 TC, sitting on bank (as low as I could get)
f8, 1/200, ISO1600
I find these males to be an incredible challenge. This was taken this fall in Idaho at Ann Morrision Park in pre-dawn light.
70% of full frame. Selective sharpening to bird, slight brightening of bird. I'm continually impressed by the performance of the E-5 at ISO1600.
C & C, please. Thanks for looking.

6 commentsGreat reflection and nice habitat.
I have not calibrated my monitor for too long, but the blues along the duck's back seem fairly over-saturated.
Nice!
