Zion's high country is about as other worldly as any I've ever seen. On this morning it was raining and wet below "the tunnel" but above it everything was covered in snow!

What incredible lines, texture and detail here...I also love the rich, warm color and the way it fades into the mist....nice to see this different view of Zion, too....really, really nice image.

Taylor, I may have out there the same day. It looks like the conditions on Monday, Nov. 7. I camped in the campground and then drove up to this area early in the morning. While I like fog, it was so foggy, I went back down to the valley to shoot. Looks like I may have missed some good images. I certainly like the combination of fog, lines, and color in this one. I find comps in this area of Z to be difficult; I like this one although it feels just a little cut off at the bottom.

Scott, yup, this was on the 7th! I agree about the compositions being challenging, it was a bit frustrating having such awesome scenery in rare conditions all around me and not knowing what to do with it!

This really captures the mood of the place, Taylor. The snow against the sandstone makes for nice contrast.

Fantastic, unique image! The colors and atmosphere are really nice and this. I wish the curves in the foreground rocks weren't cutoff quite so much at the bottom, IMO. I really enjoyed the larger photo, too...

Taylor, This is very nice! Great conditions and color captured in your image. I love all the interesting shapes and lines in your comp. I would like to make it there one of these days. Nice work!
I like the uncropped image even better.
