WC#514 - First Flowers

Hi! My dad told me about the weekly challenge this week and he thought I should post this picture. I took this picture right after the snow left in April. We were out looking for elk sheds and the prairie crocus had just started to bloom and the very first grass was beginning to grow after a cold winter.

I didn't really have the right lens on for this picture and my dad told me I should have used a smaller aperture to keep more in focus but I like the way the antler looks with the flowers around it.

Thank you for looking!

The antler makes a really nice point of interest in this shot, Marlise. And I love the beautiful flowers. I don't mind the slightly shallow depth of field - even if the points on the antlers are slightly soft. I like the softness of the grass in the background. Neat shot!
