Haven't seen any snow in our area except the freaky Halloween weekend snow. This picture was taken last year; can't wait to try more snowflake shots this year. I have a 180mm macro lens and a focusing rail now so hopefully it will be alittle easier to get then this shot was. I was trying to get closer but I kept knocking off snowflakes with my lens plus moving my tripod back and forth in 12" of snow to focus.

Wish we could have a white Christmas but I don't think it will happen in our area. Season's best to all of you!

Canon Rebel T1i. 90mm macro lens with extension tubes. F/16 for 1/2 sec. ISO 100.

Gorgeous, Carolyn. The delicate detail is superb. I think I'd lighten the tip of the middle stem to try to make it blend in, but that's obviously a very minor tweak.

Beautiful snowflakes you captured, Carolyn! They really pop out the dark BG. I am wishing for some snow and ice as well in our little country. :toast:
