Welcome back Harlan - it's been a while. Excellent landing posture, exposure and light. Wonderful detail. Love the unusual (for the species) snowy setting. A little tight but on the other hand that tightness sure epmhasizes the bird well.

Love the extension in the wings, the angle of the woodie coming at the viewer is very unusual (they only fly away from me when I am 1/4 mile near them :big grin: ). the detail is awesome in this and I am really surprised to see the snowy setting. In Colorado, we only get a few Wood Ducks to begin with, but they are gone long before the snow hits.
I think this one deserves some special recognition and my guess is a WP for your return Harlan...the shot is THAT good! :toast:
