Just thought I'd take this opportunity to wish everyone in the Macro/Close up gallery a Happy New Year and to say that, as new moderator of the gallery, I am very much looking forward to sharing images, thoughts, and comments in the gallery in the coming year.

Bee on dahlia, Fellows Riverside Gardens, Youngstown. Nikon D700, 180 macro, f8, 1/200, iso 400.

I like the brightness coming from the center of this flower and the point of focus is nice as well

Good work Scott, very easy on the eye and well composed with great colors & exposure.
Great focus on the head/eye, but I would prefer to see the bee turned towards the viewer of course.
I keep looking at this guys butt
