A lone marguerite on the edge of a bunch growing in a pot. A bit of a compositional experiment !

Beautiful - lovely softness and the left splash of colour works well.

Great comp and lighting. Just wondering if you tried to give it a more high key to it by removing the color on the left side?

Superb whites there, Ian. The yellow pinwheel seems to anchor everything so well in the frame. There is really golden touch to the yellows !!! :toast:

Ian,

Your technique and imagery stand out as very creative with eye popping color.

I really like the high key effect and the how the yellow center stands out. I find the bright white wash on the left somewhat distracting.

Your "experiment" has proven itself a success Ian. The OOF left blooms merging with the main is outstanding, especially as seen carried off against the neutral soft BG. My eyes following the L to R flow longs to see the cut off petals in the R corner.

This has a very artistic and well composed feel, one longing for a complimentary soft colored mat and frame. Well done!

I like this image, Ian. The BG works well here. For me I usually have to set
up a cultivated plant and manipulate the BG to make the composition work.
Well composed with the main subject off center. The varying tonalities of
white are a plus, and the golden area is appropriately sharp and detailed.
