Blue Ridges

From Wikipedia: "The Blue Ridge Mountains are noted for their bluish color when seen from a distance. Trees put the "blue" in Blue Ridge, from the isoprene released into the atmosphere, thereby contributing to the characteristic haze on the mountains and their distinctive color."

All C&C are welcomed and put to use.

Happy New Year everyone! :wavey:

The difference is obvious. Wonderful image with layers and vibrant colors. A very happy new year to you too.

I switched to a Mac about a year ago and I like it much better but I don't see any differences in my images. What differences do you see? If the monitors of both are calibrated there shouldn't be any difference.

Love the receding ridges and the gorgeous color. Superb. Having always used a Mac I can say without bias that everything looks better on a Mac  . Regardless, PC or Mac, this is a fantastic image. Happy New Year to you as well.

Beautiful image Joseph. Love the layers of tone and color... looks fabulous on my calibrated NEC monitor. It seems to be a different shot (or a different crop?) from your previous post of it. The color in this post seems more natural and less saturated than your previous post, so perhaps this is due to the change in monitor to the iMac. I switched to Mac about a year ago and I couldn't be happier with it's performance and ease of use. I think Bret Edge uses an iMac for his processing (I may be wrong), and he may still have some articles on his site about it. Glad you're enjoying yours!

I haven't seen the original, but this is wonderful with all of the layers of blue leading to that glorious yellow sky. Have you calibrated you monitors? If so, the colors should be pretty close.
