I think, if the circumstance was that the insect was fairly immobile, more DOF might have been achieved, and at least 3 of the legs in focus, with a setting of around f/10.

Yes, this is true...I experimented with a number of aperture settings but had problems with the background detracting from the image....I find walking sticks very difficult because you have to get as much of it in the same plane to have it all in focus, and usually that is not the most interesting view! I wanted to focus on his face but his legs pointed too far in either direction to show much detail even at a smaller aperture!

Anyhow, thanks for your comment & I will experiment a little more with smaller apertures next time!

Very nice, these are always difficult to photograph they spread out so much. Nice lines with the flowers leading in the same direction of the body, and nice color on the petals.

Eirini, I went back and compared this version to the one you posted a couple weeks ago. Both are excellent, but I like the facial features you captured here. I can't recall seeing a photo of a WS with such good facial features. I do think a little more room at the bottom would have made this even better.

Hi Eirini :wavey: Very well composed, with interesting color. and BG. Sometimes we have to comprimise in photography  wonder how it looked at F/8 and iso at 800?
