Love these birds. This is a great position with that foot up Cheryl. Nice low angle and I like the BG giving a hint of habitat. Great sharpness and detail as I have come to expect from your images. Well done.

super, Cheryl. love the raised foot and great detail, along with your always excellent techs. I'm not sure what it is about this species, but to me it always looks bigger in photos than it does in real life, then when I see them in person I remember that they are pretty small herons.

Thanks everybody . Yes Brian they are pretty small compared to the great Heron or the great Egret. More like a little blue heron.

SWEET !! an excellent wading position. Love the Stepping with the Toe-Tips skimming the water , Detail in Larger version is Exquisite, the Eye capture Sharp. Lovely light to get Feathers detailed.

Would have liked more reflection if you had room ?
