Went out this morning & found this little guy or gal. I attempted to get lower than in my previous posts, but could only get so close to the ground due to 3' high grasses. I really liked this pose, it's almost as if it is 'pointing'.

Very nice. I love the tones in the water and good exposure on the bird. In the large version the bird appears just a tad soft. I might try to do a little selective sharpening just on the bird. Great composition too.

I also love the colors in the water, and I love the reflection.

This sandpiper has been a very cooperative bird and really fun to watch. I just wish all those reeds were not in the way for us to get in a little closer. I like the water reflections and pose of the sandpiper, way to go.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I will play around w/ sharpening a bit more though I probably won't repost. Jim, this bird has been very cooperative & seems to like that one little pond we found it in. Sometimes I wish they would trim back areas of vegetation there at Sweetwater to get a better view.

The water colors really are nice Tonia. The bird is soft in the larger version. Not sure if more sharpen will help, but it is worth a try.

I like the transition of cool to warm tones in the water and the position of the sandpiper and its reflection are very nice.
