Hang around these guys long enough and they're bound to do something goofy before too long.

Always nice to see this west coast specialty. Good exposure; nice detail; interesting action.
I'm still waiting for one of the rare vagrants to AZ to stay around longer than a day so I can add it to my state list.

A very opinionated gull - what did you do to him/her?
Nice angle on that big mouth. What are the white streaks behind?
Not so fond of the bird poop, but that is a personal nit only! (Please don't tell me all those white streaks are tons old and new bird poop dripping down a cliff...)
Nice work -

Love the open beak and colors in this one Charlie. Not so sure you can do much about the poo....with any gull species, there always seems to be a lot of it...plus leaving it in explains all the white streaks in the BG

I wonder what he is saying to you? Wonderful timing to get this, very good detail on the larger version and the open beak really adds to the image, nice job in getting this.

Love the calling pose Charlie. The poo on the perch rock detracts a bit for me. I am guessing the white in the BG is more poo.

Charlie, Next to he Boneparte this is my favorite gull. I have always liked the red beak but this pose blows my mind. I am enjoying looking at this image. You really have captured a moment. Maybe its just me but I don't mind the poo at all. Love it.

Goofy maybe but I like the vocalization captured? The gull is probably calling out for someone to clean up this place!

Nice shot. I like the way the light is spotlighting the gulls head. I also like the pose and the open red beak.

These are such pretty gulls, and this is really neat with the way it looks like the head and that colorful bill are spotlighted.

Neat pose - detail and exposure look good. I should get over my tendency to ignore gulls but here in Utah they're hard for me to give them their due. Long story...
