Aperture Priority crop CS5

We had a great morning photographing a variety of Snowy Egrets, Great Blue Herons and Great Egrets. The pond had been lowered and they were fishing aggressively. I was fortunate to capture this Great Egret preening in an interesting manner.

Comments and feedback welcome and appreciated.

Interesting pose and composition with the reflection, too bad there is no eye contact but nice job in handling those problematic white feathers.

I like the pose and the reflection. I also like the smooth water BG and the dark reflections in the water at the top really add a lot to the shot IMO. It does look a little dark and flat but since no one elso has mentioned it I asssume it's just my monitor. Overall a very nice shot.

Robert,
Don't replace your monitor. It is a little dark. I am afraid to pump it up too much for fear of noise in the image. I will do that just for the fun of it and will post it as well. I was not shooting RAW when this was taken, so my options appear to be more limited. Thank you all for your comments and encouragement.

Interesting pose and composition as well. I agree it is a bit dark. Looking forward to the lighter version.
