Lack of Winter

Today it was warm enough for just a jacket, and for Ontario in January, that is bizarre. However, it did turn up a few local mammals enjoying the warmth. Not sure that this composition is the best but I really liked the ice on the stump. Any and all suggestions welcomed.

D300, ISO 500, AF-S 300 at F32, 1/10 sec and 0 ev. (Yup, the f32 was a mistake - left over from another image)

Thanks in advance

Geez...this should not be the scene in January. More snow and ice than we have in New Hampshire...heck, we have kingfishers too!

Picture tells a good story!

Looks like winter to me. Here in CT we are in the 50s today. Not even freezing weather for most of the week. The grass is green and almost to the point of needing to be cut. :wavey:

I like the story it tells. It would have been nice to be able to distinguish the eye on the mammal (beaver??)...
If you have the MP I would like to see a crop without the stump focussing on the subject and the reflection/ripples/colour in the water around it
