Bathroom Studio

This fresh bud opened up this morning and I had a major bathroom session with it this afternoon. I decided to leave the upper stem but did clone away a small portion of stem below the bloom. For those of you with inquiring minds our master bathroom has a 12 foot ceiling with windows across the top. I get nice natural light and I can light up all four sides of the room individually. It is also covered with mirrors on three sides so the light gets bounced around inside very nicely. I know this may be TMI for some but hey, I'm giddy from all the new help I'm getting. All comments welcome. >=))>

Beautifully composed, Bill, with such a delicate fading of the petals into the bg. Seems like you may have desaturated the reds/yellows - like that a lot in this image. Was wondering about the bathroom - thanks for all the info !!! ( smile ! )

Beautiful setting Bill, I really like the stem leading in from the top. Great high key capture.

Yes, I wondered about the "stemless" bouquet in your last post and felt it likely that you had a skylight. I really like the hints of reflected yellow in the curve of the top petal. Beautiful shot.

That sounds like an awesome setup! I love the composition you chose here, and the way it goes from darker on top to lighter on the bottom. The hints of yellow and red throughout the bloom are perfect.

Looks like you are on your way to mastering Orchids after Daylilies, Hibiscuses, Lupines and what not  - particularly like the entry of the flower into frame and nice colors at the center breaking the expanse of the lighter tones :wavey:

Never TMI explaining "a major bathroom session"! The mind boggles elsewise! And a fine result in that light. Such lovely tones in the pale beige petals, standing out so well from the off white BG. An amazing composition! You should do things in the bathroom more often! :jump:
