Surprisingly sharp freeze for just 1/350th. The iridescence is very good. The extensive red mud/sand patches are a distraction.

I don't mind the red mud myself...just wondering if a little could be cropped off the bottom! The lighting is really nice on the bird & I like the eye contact!

Beautiful photo. I used to have Birmingham Roller Pigeons and i remember how they would splash water everywhere when bathing. Really sharp photo, love it.

Nice splash action shot, I like seeing the iridescent color and the water drops, I might consider taking some off the bottom but a fine shot as is.

Beautiful, John. I really like the splashing water. Usually, when I get a bird splashing like this the eye is closed or at least the nictitating membrane is closed. This is cool.
