Nice, Angela. Sweet composition and the Green Jay is perfectly exposed to bring out the outrageous colors.

Hi Angela, what a superb bird and setting ! Never seen it - I will be coming over ! The second bird is OOF unfortunately, but after giving it some thought for me it nevertheless adds to the image ! Well done, applause :jump: , Hans

Really nice composition and low angle on this one Angela. Would've been great if the background bird was in the focus plane of the main subject, but I think it adds depth as is. Nice work.

Really pleasing image with a great low angle and just enough DOF to render the thrasher without it detracting from the main subject.

Very nice, I like seeing both these species in the image, too bad the thrasher isn't sharper, but I think it still works.

Personally I like the OOF thrasher. He is both out of the DOF, but there is a bit of fog in front of him and it just immediately became my favorite. I have lots of image with each alone and even one in which both birds are perfecty in focus. But this was the one I like best.

Very interesting image Angela. Excellent job exposing the jay and I agree that the OOF thrasher adds, rather than detracts, from the image. No mistaking the So.Texas 'feel' of this image.

Very interesting; even if the thrasher is slightly OOF it doesn't bother me.
Well done, Luca
