When I spotted these leaves I thought they would be the perfect subject for my "scanner art" process. I love the detail and textures against the black background, very dramatic. This scanner art has become a real joy for me and one that I will continue to pursue. The only post processing done was to bring out the beautiful details and colors.

Equipment: Epson Perfection V33 Scanner
Post Processing: Nik Software Color Efex Pro

Your thoughts and comments are always greatly appreciated.

These just keep getting better. The depth in this one is wonderful and the textures and colors spot on. Very nice

Great subject ot use. You've captured some great texture and detail. I feel like I could reach out and crumple the leaves in my hand and have the great smells of fall.

Barbara: Probably your best so far. I like the subject and also the 3-D like depth you're getting with the scan. Very nicely done.>=))>

Barbara:
Your scanner images are getting better. I noticed that you are using the Epson scanner (?V330) which I think gives much higher resolution than the HP. The color and texture look great. The only suggestion I have is perhaps a tighter crop to eliminate most of the negative space around the leaf.

Thanks so much for everyone's comments about this piece. I believe using this Epson scanner has really made a difference in the quality of these images, plus this leaf cluster was a very good subject. Gary, here is a tighter crop. I wasn't sure if the image should be cropped so tight, but I do like it much better. Thanks again everyone, stay tuned for more.

3D feel is also what came to my mind, Barbara. The details are fantastic and the slight double diagonal in the composition also makes it strong.

Well seen and scanned :wavey: . I may like a version in between the original and the repost, specially with a little more room at the top and bottom but it might be just my preference.

Ram, thanks so very much for your comments. Here is another version with a different crop. I really appreciate your "eye" as I'm just not sure how much to crop these scanner images since I am still so new to this process. How does this look? I do like the extra room at the bottom and top. Thoughts? Thanks again for your guidance.

Thanks Bill. I really do like the crop on the last post as well. Third time was the charm! Thanks for taking a look. I'm working on more scan art and will post as I can. Just a fun process.
