Not many critter around now, so I post an image from last spring, a Syrphidae fly caught on early morning- Natural light, selective sharpening, slightly cropped.
Nikon D300s; Sigma 180mm f3,5 ; ISO 200; F11; 1/25; tripod

The early morning light shows the excellent detail on both the fly and the plant. Perfect comp and BG as well. Excellent all around and a great submission to the fly theme. :toast:

Looks lovely, Fabio :toast: - stunning top to bottom sharpness for the perch and also for the Hoverfly. You may want to look at that lone strand sticking to the perch somewhere near the 2nd bloom from the top.

Great technique using the natural light and slower s-speed Fabio..You must have had a minimum of air movement to get this one clear & sharp @ 1/25th.
An artistic comp, very pleasing to the eye.

Man, this is one of the prettiest shots of a hoverfly I have ever seen. Superb comp, with attractive perch, background and colors.
