This was shot early in the morning . Landscape is not a usual subject for me but I loved the purple glow of the morning light. At this point the sun did not rise for almost another hour.I don't remember much else about this shot other than I think I had a polarizer on and it was not a flower !

1/30 sec
at f5.6
14mm focal length
ISO 100

This is very nice! I like the mood and the colors. I think for the web, you could use a bit more sharpening.

Colors are wonderful and the clouds/mist drifting across the water is an extra bonus. It's a little dark on the left side but I personally like darkness in pre-dawn shots. This has a soft, moody feel to it that I find appealing.

Lorna,

Fantastic, ethereal mood and atmosphere. Lots of dark areas, but the mist more than makes up for it. And the larger version gets even better. this isn't one that works as well in a smaller setting. I'd say you've captured a fleeting moment beautifully.

Gorgeous light and color, Lorna. The dark and misty atmosphere creates a very mysterious atmosphere that I find quite compelling. Even though I cannot see any detail in the hills, I'm enjoying the silhouetted shapes and play of light around them. Large version is excellent.

I really like the mood and the color here. The mist drifting across the water ads a lot to this scene. It's quiet dark but the large version is better and it works for me

One has to see the large view to appreciate the ethereal mood or "atmosphere" here Lorna.
I like this, you did good
Well done and have a great week! :wavey:
