A simple shot, but an exercise for me in focus stacking.

From the forests within Blackwater Falls State Park, WVA

7 images stacked for depth. selective curves adjustment and sharpening mask.

all C&C encouraged and appreciated! :wavey:

Navin: This is RICH! Really good work on your stack and the colors are spectacular. Did you use a polarizer? Judging by the lack of sheen I suspect so and a really good use of an underutilized tool for good flora images. 2+ thumbs up! >=))>

Nicely composed. the colors are wonderful as are the waterdrops. A successful exercise, IMO.

Nice shot....well composed. Control of the yellows and brights is difficult and you've done well. Water on that solo leaf and lacking on surrounding just climbs out of this scene. Not a nit. Once noticed, then hard to shake loose. I like that bit of green in bottom rt leaf.

thanks, everyone, for your comments.

Bill - yes, i did use a polarizer for this shot. i just wanted a small amount of sheen, primarily in the silver-ish leaf on the ULC!

Ken - i think i follow your comment, but not entirely sure :) are you saying that its hard to shake the contrast between water droplets on the one leaf and none otherwise? is this distracting to you?

thanks again, for your thoughts!

You have a wonderful stack and technique here Navin. I did a similar fall leaf stack the past two years and am still amazed at how well stacking works even on such a relatively shallow depth. Your colors are wonderful as is the water droplets. Great job!
