Very nice shot with good detail and image quality on the larger version. Nice job of hand holding for a vertical full frame in a boat, way to go, well done.

This is really nice Barbara. Just enough light in the eyes for me. I like your placement of the bird in the frame. All the branches in the lower frame form an attractive pattern. Well done.

Great job getting this so well from a boat, no easy task Barbara.
Since this is full frame, I'd consider cropping some off the top, and a bit off the RT side.
Just my two cents
Well done :wavey:

I like how the branches converge on the owl here, Barbara. Also, the eyes appear more lively in the large version. Very well done.

I agree with taking a little off the top as well as a hair off the bottom to get rid of that first small horizontal branch on the right. Otherwise it is a great vertical shot!

Wow! Fabulous, stately bird, wonderfully captured, Barbara. Is it normal to see a barred owl so exposed (seemingly) during the daytime hours in EC Florida? He looks very awake and alert, something I'm not used to seeing in owls during the day. His posture/stances is nice - he looks like he's curious about what you're doing.

Personally, I would crop from the top to remove the twigs in the URH corner, and also some from the bottom as mentioned. And there is a tiny bit of branch above his perch coming in from the left side that I would clone out. But an all-around lovely image!
