I went back to February of 1806 the other day for this one.

Here it is before before Lightroom slider adjustments. If you look closely, you can see smoke. This is the first time this incarnation of the fort has had fire in it. The previous version burned to the ground.

This is a great shot. Is this the fort that Lewis Clark and Co. spent the winter? The program brings out the details. Well Done!

Yes. This is Fort Clatsop near the mouth of the Columbia River.

Great processing. The smoke is clearly visible (as are all other details previously lost). Big difference.

Excellent post-processing work, Robert! And I hope your trip to the past went well. I've heard those time machines can be a bit unpredictable.

Really fine example of what "proper" processing can do for a digital image!

Very well done on this image. Is that you in the 1800 attire? It brings back good memories (I'm a buckskinner from way back )
We visited the this fort last winter. It gives a real appreciation of what the Corps went through and the valued information they gave this country.

I stumbled into this entirely by accident. Snow messed up the roads and since I live nearby, this is about the only place I could go. These folks from the local historical society re-enact The Lewis and Clark visit every year. Several members of the expedition were there. The french trader, Sacagawea, Seaman the Dog, and a few others. My namesake Potts, spoke mostly German! I'm not sure what Sacagawea was speaking. It was fun. I will be looking for this next year.

Here's a loquacious fellow working on a deer hide.
