Stare Down + Filters

I posted the straight version of this photo in the Avian Gallery last week. It can be seen here. Then I used some Topaz filters on it to arrive at this Photo Art image.

Edit: I forgot to mention that this is a captive owl as noted in my Avian Gallery post.

Critiques and comments are very welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Excellent work with the filters - amplifies the "predator" pose and forboding stare . I Like this even more than the original - very well-done!

Hi Carol, Popped over to Avian; think I prefer the original photo but fortunately, I R an opinion of 1.

Nice job on the capture.

Carol

When I looked at the thumbnail, I thought "now what's the artsy part about this?". Well, it's obvious now. I think it's a nice variant of the original photograph. Very graphically appealing. Cool.

I really do like this photo art 'variation' Carol.
As someone said, it seems to 'amplify' the predator aspect and 'stare' intensity.
Would love to see this large in print.
Very nice work & have a great weekend! :toast:
