Least Grebe.
Very nice. A limited range species best known from southern Texas, but we also get them here in AZ on occasion. I've seen two of them but not this close or this well.

Very nice Angela, the larger image has some wonderful detail. I like the open beak, low perspective and the background water color. I just saw my first one a couple of weeks ago at a small lake in SE AZ. Excellent shot, well done.

Angela, the images you have been posting from the Alan Murphy workshop have been stunning. I love this one! The way his feathers are all puffed up, the open bill and the gold light coming from the background all the way to the foreground is wonderful.

Another beautiful image, and really neat capture. Was he calling or yawning?

Nice. Very sharp, interesting pose and good perspective. The yellow eye is an interesting change from the grebes I'm used to.

The bird being parallel to camera plane, the low angle and the open bill make this a killer image.

Love the Grebe and that baby face. The background compliments the Grebe's coloring, and the open beak gives the image the motion and punch that make it so appealing. Nice shot Angela
