Sunset in Mesa Verde National Park. A serene setting to me. Thanks for looking, Ron

A serene silhouette, for sure. Beautiful colors.

Great silhouette. What about cropping just a bit the dark portion of the sky? IMO it is a bit too large...

I like the image very much, Ron, and IMO, the reds are not very serene; however, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

Great photo otherwise.

The colors are terrific and the silhouette of the tree is very attractive. I sure would like to see the top of the tree rather than have it disappearing into darkness.

Having recently seen a sunset like this, I think it is a very peaceful scene. I like the silhouette but agree that there is a little to much black on top. The beams of light are a nice touch.

Others have mentioned the large area of black at the top - how about a pano crop? That way, you don't lose any of the intense color. This is a beautiful shot. The colors are extreme, but they work well with the silhouette. I like it.

I too think this would work much better as a pano crop, Varina. I just scanned this and left it at full frame, I may print this as a pano. Thanks for looking. Ron

Very cool Ron. Love the compact layers of transitioning color at the horizon, and tree in full silhouette.
Sweet & simple. just the way I like em'
Hope your Christmas was merry, best wishes for a Happy New Year! :wavey:
