Silver & Gold
by Bill Chambers
Finally got a chance to get out today and shoot a little - the first time in 2012. It was a dull and very foggy day so I concentrated on intimate subjects. I was attracted to this rather blase' scene because I liked the contrast between the straight golden pine needles and the curly silver gray grass underneath.

10 commentsBarbara - the lack of color is caused by compression. When I clicked the preview button on & off there was a big difference in the color; don't remember about the contrast.
Good eye for spotting this. Really like the simplicity of the comp with the cone at the powerpoint and the ordered chaos in bg.
Really excellent capture!
