Sea of fog
by R.Bill Moser
Another one from the area I’ve been visiting a lot lately. The weather condition for this image were perfect on that day in November. Unfortunately the fog wasn’t as high as supposed to be…….I previsualised this image since the first time I visited this place. Two shots manually blended for dynamic range.

I need to agree with the above comments,
You nailed this ....
Beautiful scene, well shot and beautiful processing.
Mark has it right (as far as I'm concerned)... just perfect.
A joy to see, thank's for posting it.
I think I see a slight tilt to the right and I find it a bit odd that the fog looks so blue in contrast to the orange sky. Maybe it’s that contrast that makes this so interesting. Good one.
My only suggestion would be to maybe crop off the bottom fog, and look at the fir tree along the right side as its tips stand out almost as points of light in the shade.
@Shantikara: Yes, it is in the Jura region.
Wonderful sunset and fog image. Great job retaining just the right amount of detail up front and keeping the entire image very natural in terms of what I would expect to see if I were there. Nice work.

Not by the shot (which of course is incredibly beautiful
Maybe they don't understand that clouds and fog are like fluids (they are made of water after all)...
Correct that and you have a real winner!

Stan, i also wondered why noone mentioned the tilt......I wasn't sure because I leveled the camera. So i thought, it must be that way......and i was looking the internet if this was possible but couldn't find any answer. Thanks for your feedback
