Creek ice designs

I had a wonderful day of ice shooting on our creek recently. One of our few ice days! I have posted many of these in the macro gallery but noticed others posting some ice close-ups in this gallery also so I decided to post one here. Hope this is ok.

Canon Rebel T1i. 180mm macro lens. F/25 at 1.3 sec. ISO 100. Tripod mounted. Daylight white balance setting. Natural lighting in shade. No adjustment to natural blue tint in editing. Should I have pulled back on the blue a bit? I like the icy feel of a blue tint but don't want to overdo it.

This is a wonderful ice abstract, Carolyn. Really interesting shapes and great colors too. Love the bubbles in the lower right corner in contrast with the beautiful lines!

Seems like ice is in this year, especially with the lack of snow in a lot of places. This is really nice and I don't feel the blue is overdone here. Nice find.

Fantastic ice abstract. Love the curves of the ice pattern, and the excellent contrast throughout. Blue tones look great in my opinion.

Wonderful curves, shapes, blues and blacks, and contrasts. My only suggestion might be to crop right at the bottom of the dark circle in the URC as it grabs my attention to the edge. Great ice abstract image!
