Formoson Sika Deer

A formoson sika deer, I believe. I'm posting this in Man & Nature because I took this picture from an observation bridge, over-looking a nature reserve type park in Korea called Seoul Forest. The deer is standing on a frozen lake.

Canon EOS 60D
Lens:Sigma DG 120-400mm 1:4.5-5.6 APO OS HSM
Focal Length: 400mm
f5.6
Shutter 1/800
ISO640
HH

Comments and constructive criticism is greatly appreciated.

I really like the diagonal orientation. And the sharpness is spot on. The focal plane is right across the eyes and nose and ears, and the background is only a little blurred so as to bring out the spots across the back. Well done.

Cool image! Normally we try not to photograph looking down on animals to avoid giving our images a typical dominant human perspective, but this image is very different. How often can we look straight down at a deer? Cool perspective.

Interesting perspective! I've rehabbed injured fawns, and this reminds me of when they would follow me around and nose against my knees to ask for more formula. It really looks like the deer is at your feet looking up at you. What a neat shot!!

A neat shot at an interesting angle. IMHO it would do well in the wildlife gallery! Thanks for sharing.

Interesting angle, from the top and in diagonal. That works for me. Nice colors and very sharp.

Very sharp, good DOF, and nice catchlight. I like the diagonal framing as well; makes it a more interesting image. I've never seen one of these before!
