Late afternoon sun above Papagayo Bay, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

Cloned a small OOF flower bud just right of the bird and the usual sharpening drill in CS5.

Very nice image Chuck. Looks like the bird is sitting just outside my window. Great pose and excellent detail on this bird. And a beautiful habitat shot to boot.

I like this image, the pose, sharpness and color. Also like the setting you caught the bird in, but and it might be my monitor it seems to me the contrast is a bit low. Thanks for sharing.

Great pose on this one and a neat perch. Maybe a little NR on bg?

Neat bird - I keep waiting for one to drift over to AZ from TX.

A lush setting and soft light. I don't see any need for NR in either image.

I'd warm this up some, though. The whites of the crown and throat have a lot of blue (use the eyedropper tool and the info palette in PS to read the RGB values).

Rich-used the eyedropper on the mask-any better?

Yes - the repost looks better to my eye with the blue cast eliminated.

I'm jealous, as I still don't have a good kiskadee image despite 3 trips to South Texas. Good pose with lots of detail and contact with the eye. I like the habitat that you have included here. Colors in the repost are spot on.

Charles,
Those colors really pop. Very nice perch and a pleasing background that compliments the bird well. Nice head turn and control of your whites. Great job!
