This is the runoff from Canary Springs (Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone) with the heavy steam hiding the distant views. (5D, 70-200 f2.8 @ 200mm, 1/320 s, f/8, iso 200)

I like your comp here, as well as the amount of steam you caught. What a fascinating place.

Impressive and evocative image of a beautiful place. I appreciate very much your tight composition, Mark. Very good job.

Wonderful! I can almost smell the sulfur! :) I love the reduced contrast in the background as the steam obscured the view. The depth is really nice.

Very nice layering and I like how the background fades into the steam. The variation in the colors is nice, too.

Chocolate and vanilla. I can smell the sulfur. The background disappearing into the mist is very nice. The foreground hot and out of focus, not so much, but I guess it fits the theme. A polarizer might have helped with the reflections on the rocks.

Beautiful composition and I like the way it fades off into the mist--very cool!

Very nice example of the theme. Really like the way your composition fades into the background and that the layers colors help give depth to the image.
