Great color, a nice pose. good perch, and BG. You really got the color of this guy. I just love their electric blue plumage. My first was in Tuolumne Meadow in Yosemite almost 30 years ago and I still can remember it vividly.

Keith,
Good thing you went back in the files to pull this one out. The blues really pop, the composition is really good, the head angle works, you have good sharpness and a nice perch. But it's the background that makes this image pop with the muted earth tones. Really nice Keith.

Hello Keith
gotta love those Colours ! Very Sharp detail, & love the clean background.
What is the Crop ? & can you remember the Time of day? Nicely detailed filled in with the natural catchlight.

This is about 80% of full frame. It was early in the morning. Should have included the crop in my original post

Hey Keith, wonderful image you have here. This bird is high on my list for the next time I visit the US. Which will be in August, which is probably not the best time. Anyway, for the moment I can enjoy looking at this excellent image ! cheers, Hans

Nice pose here, and great combination of cours. The electric blue with the reds and greens of the bush and BG work very well.

Gorgeous blue. Vivid but perfectly saturated. Simple twigs and soft background lets the bird take full stage.

Very nice Keith. Nice to see them on something besides a fence or a bluebird box.
