When souls talk

I have taken this picture while hiking and backpacking through the empty quarter desert. Well, I was planning to spend two days. However, the weather was quite hot where I had to drink all the water I had to end up with going back to my car with the next morning.

Comments and thoughts are appreciated,

Best

Doesn't look like an easy place to backpack. Fantastic scene though, with a wonderful array of colors, textures, and shapes. Wonderful shot!

Fantastic! One of your very best from the dunes, Aziz! The balance of shades and curves is perfect, and the diffuse light plays tricks with the mind that I really enjoy.

Simply gorgeous Aziz! Subtle and beautiful color and elegant form. What a wonderful experience this must have been despite the water shortage... ;-)

Fabulous! I wouldn't change a thing.

On a side note, every time I see a sand dune shot I wonder "how long did they have to walk to get that shot" because every time I hike up sand I am reminded that I need to work out more...

What an excellent photograph! Well done. The only suggestion I can come up with is a slight crop from the top - only a very slight bit to get the peak of that silver dune a bit closer to the top of the frame.

This is my favourite of the recent desert shots put up by either yourself or Marc. The dunes just glow beautifully and the pastel layering is superb best of all I think the composition is immaculate. Very well done this would make a stunning large print.

The high key pastels and cris cross forms of the dunes are absolutely beautiful Abdullaziz. That mix of pale orange and subtle gray-blues is particularly attractive. Stunning work!

I find this image very soothing due to the curved lines, pastel colors, and soft light. Very nice. There appears to be a small area of blue on the angled slope in the upper left that seems too pronounced.

1200 METERS! Ouch, my legs are burning just thinking about climbing up that much sand. I think I would have to strap on the snowshoes for that climb. Excuse me while I got get a sports massage to alleviate my imaginary pain.

EDIT: Oops, I misread your post - you said 120 meters! Haha, big difference - still painful, but not "make me want to keel over and die at the thought of it" painful.

Sand Dunes is one of my favorite subjects. This is one of the most beautiful renditions
that I've ever seen. The various tones and colors all complement each other. The manner
in which you've composed the overlapping patterns really gives a 3D effect.

How very, VERY beautiful! The composition you framed here, of all the ones that you could have put before your lens, is spectacular. The range of color is also wonderful. This is so interesting to view-- all the curves and layers and the fine detail in the foreground that gives the sense of place. I think this is amazing, and I hope you see some awards for it. :toast:
