This is from the same night as my last photo. While we were all staring at the show on the waterfall Jeremy Cram turned around and spotted the awesome sky in the other direction. So I switched to the 100-400mm lens and caught this through the mist.

Ooh lucky me! I just happened to sign on when this popped up. I love a good pastel and this is one of the best. The soft colors and misty water mesmerizing. Very, very nice.

Thanks for the comments guys. And Jeffrey, is this really shot that often? I don't think I have ever seen a picture of these sea stacks from this beach before. Now there are probably thousands of places around the world that look like this, but this little beach up near Tilamook doesn't get much traffic.

Simply a gorgeous seascape Scott. I absolutely love the color combo of the pink/magenta and the blues. Excellent scattering of rocks for visual contrast. I love this. Will make a beautiful print no doubt.

Thanks for the compliments everyone, this might be my most universally well received image in quite some time. :)

And Rick, when I was taking the photos that night, I thought the same thing. I came to shoot the waterfall, and at the peak light of the night I had my camera pointed directly away from it because I liked what I saw there more. Got to love how those things work out.

Beautiful photo of a beautiful place. Love the composition and the colors. Plus the misty atmosphere. There appears to be a fine magenta line around the most distant rocks and a lighter line around the darker rocks in the FG. CA or jpeg compression artefact when posting? Very nice work.

Robert, thanks for noticing, those are jpeg / sharpening artifacts - I did a bad job with the web sharpening on this one and noticed right after uploading it. It was slight enough that I didn't bother with a repost.
