Today afternoon at the frozen Lake Neusiedl in the Pannonian Steppes, in the eastern part of Austria. An icy wind made for an inhospitable atmosphere. Finally it is our eleventh day of temperatures about -10°C.

Nice shot-- I like that wind-swept FG with all the texture and I like the composition with just a little bit of sky.

The snow drifts lead right to the point of interest Peter. Love the warm light on the distant reeds.

Your composition really captures the windswept feel of this environment; one can almost feel the cold wind roaring. Really nicely done.

It certainly does look cold and barren there. Great opportunities if one can handle the weather.

Peter, This is very nice! I love the cold and windswept feel this has. I like your comp and the light worked great to capture the feel you did. Nice work Peter!

While I like the snow further back in the scene, the foreground snow feels a bit too gray.

The European winter is making the news on a regular basis here. Our northeast part of the country was hit hard last winter. I guess it's your turn this winter.

Excellent detail in the large version. And, you captured a very cold winter day in this shot. I like the comp and the inclusion of all of the elements you put in. Well done, and hang on, Spring will eventually arrive.
