Nikon D300, 50 mm, F/10, 1/25, ISO 200.

Another version of the milkweed pod. The color tones are more pronounced, hope you enjoy it. Comments appreciated.

Albert, This is awesome. I like the subject matter a lot better in this version than the one you posted around the new year time. Great contrast on a relatively high key background.

I don't have much experience in making shots like these so I don't know what it takes - but if the shadows in the lower middle left of the frame can be subdued, it would also find favour with me :toast:

Milkweed can be so much fun to shoot! I like your different comp on these and the light background.

Albert:
Beautiful still life shot. The light is well controlled and the texture of these milkweed and beautifully shown. Don't mind the shadow but the wispy brown filament just above the lower two husk draw the eyes a little. Well crafted image :toast:

Exceptional, Albert ! Love what you do with these milkweeds - the high contrast here works brilliantly for me, and the sombre tones overall are a delight.

This is excellent, Albert. If I had to offer any suggestion at all, maybe tone down the shadow a bit. It's a wall-hanger either way. :toast:
