VANCOUVER HARBOR
by James Fougère
This has not been much of a cold winter here in southern BC Canada. There have not been many opportunities to capitalize on the potential "icing" on the alpine trees in the coastal mountains.
This was a shot from last season while on a snowshoe trek with Adam Gibbs. I finally got to processing it with the assistance of Zack, while he was up here in Whistler. Zack assisted me to get this image print ready.
This scene was up on Mount Seymour overlooking the harbor in Vancouver. You can see the tankers lined up out there on the ocean. Sorry I did not post a larger version.
It was a very cold sunset and could not feel the shutter release with frozen fingers !!
Any comments would be appreciated.

Whistler has had a good amount of snow compared to the USA, but it has been mild, so not much for "icing" on the trees!
love it
Looks like the cold air that has been locked up in N Canada will finally get here this week--i cant wait for the subzero weather
I've got to figure out a better way to protect my fingers while shooting though...
I suck -- I need to get up to BC. Both for photography and skiing. The snow in California is terrible this year.
This sky looks good in the highlights on my calibrated monitor and prints dead on with Zack's assistance
But I did not modify this print file for web views. so who knows
Get your ass up here!
Thanks Mat
