Silver Falls State Park in Oregon is an amazing place! 10 beautiful waterfalls all grouped in a small area. An 8 mile loop trail takes you to all of them! Its like being a kid in a candy store! This was taken in the morning and there was a nice mist in the air and a doe and fawn on the other side of the creek. Great way to spend a morning! The waterfall is 93 ft!

C&C Welcome!

Absolutely gorgeous Phillip. I love the colors, the feel and the composition of this shot. The slightly backlit area on the top adds to the overall appeal for me.

Beautiful image Phillip. The greens really make this one nice. I like your choice of shutter speed here.

The greens and the whites certainly add to the fresh feel of this image. The forest is lovely with nice detail. Very successful image Phillip.

Philipp, this is an excellent shot in my opinion. I especially like your choice of shutter speed that lets the mighty fall look like a veil. Lighting conditions show the scene at its best to me. The composition is well balanced to my eye and makes for a great sense of scale.

What a lovely waterfall Phillip but what I really appreciate are all the various green tones in the foliage. Wonderful light.

The greens are glorious and your shutter speed really lets the waterfall sing. I actually like that branch in front of the falls and can imaging a close up with it as the star and the white water as the background.

That was my feeling when I went there too when I lived in the NW. National Park-quality scenery. This really captures it nicely.

The greens and soft light are real nice here, beautiful falls too! The branch is the obvious contentious thing here--i think in rare cases it might work for a comp, here i would have to agree that it detracts. No need for a saw though--just get wet and shoot from the creek.

The branch is a little distracting, but certainly not a deal breaker Phillip. Gorgeous spring greens! Definitely on my list of places to go!

Gorgeous Phillip!! Love the lushness and vibrancy of the greens - fully saturated, but nor overly so. Also love the purity of the white falls - excellent color balance. No nits at all from me - wonderful image.

the greens are of course awesome, but most appealing to me is the delicate vertical drop of the falls. your shutter speed did a fine job of accentuating the water collecting at the base of the falls. well done!
