Not the best focusing, really had to work on sharpening in PSCS4. I just aimed and shot, not to great, the only shot I took yesterday in Silver Falls. I just love the forest up here. Thanks for looking and previous comments.

At this size the sharpness looks good to my eyes. I like your composition and the sense of depth as the trunks recede into the background. This is more a matter of personal preference but I think you could boost the saturation in the greens for more impact and still maintain a natural quality to this image (I am assuming that is your intent).

These forest scenes are always tough, but I think you found a good comp here. I don't notice any major issues with sharpness.

I just aimed and shot

that was your first mistake... Seriously, these forest scenes are real tough, and i can see what attracted you to the scene, i love the old trees too, but the comp leaves me a bit ambivalent. I think if you really wanted to convey the sense of "a walk in the forest", you need to show where you were walking. There's no room in this shot to walk. It might have worked better as an intimate of one of the trees. In other words, i think you either included too much or too little here. That said, i think this might work as part of a series, since it does give a good sense of the forest. :wavey:

I like your comp with this one. The diagonal lines create nice movement.

I wonder if you brought out the green, whether it would make the image pop more.
