Took this a few days ago. I really enjoy these flycatchers, nearly always near water as this one was. D300, 300F4, 1.4TC, F6.3, 1/800, ISO 500. All comments and criticism greatly appreciated.

Very nice image, pose and comp. The straight perch works well with the BG. Only possible nit is the double "blob" at the bottom edge, but that is minor. Lovely photo as is with nice catchlight in the eye. I have never seen this bird.

A classic pose with good eye contact and detail. It feels a little underexposed.

Very nice shot of this phoebe in typical habitat, the lighting on the face is very nice. I would consider cropping out the oof bit at the bottom. :toast:

Great setting and detail; good job in harsh light. I'd be tempted to do a little shadow/highlight to bring out some detail on the darker areas
