The camellias have been so beautiful this season here in the south. All c & c's are very helpful. Thank you for looking!

Your image beautifully captured the color and delicacy of this camellia blossom. I like the shallow DOF, the greenery, and the lower yellowish BG. I find the patches of white sky in the upper BG a little bright and distracting. Trying to avoid the bright sky would be my only suggestion.

Carlette: Looks like most of your photography is for the birds so welcome to the finest Flora gallery on the planet. My thoughts echo Scott's exactly. Burn down those hot spots and this is a real winner. >=))>

Lovely camellia portrait. Also like the lower leaves with their graceful arches. The upper portion of the image adds very little so cropping some from the top and adding some canvas on the bottom is a possible remedy.

The flower is spectacular. It would be easier to look at if the clear parts of the background weren't so bright. If you process in Photoshop, there are multiple ways to darken the bright background areas. The easiest is burning/dodging through a luminosity mask as described on Tony Kuyper's web site.

Lovely image, Carlette - the colour of the flower is perfect, and i like the way you've caught it with the drooping leaves.

Carlette:
I like your capture of the camellia and the two silhouette leaves. Agree with Pat suggestion of crop along the top and burning down the bright sky - an alternative to Mark's suggestion is to change the color in Viveza2 if you have this pluggin (or get the free trial version).

The color of this lovely Camellia is spot on, Carlette. Love the idea of cropping down from the top and blending some of the soft green color into the remaining bright spots in the top portion of the bg. Ooooo-la-laaaah!
