The first magnolias are out, along with the cherries, plums, daffodills, and crocus. I guess we have by-passed winter altogether in this very odd year.

Lovely, minimalist abstract, Sandy ! The shadows and the touches of purple make this for me - and the nice frame.

Sandy, I admire your artistic eye. The touch of the purple and the way you have framed out the photo is very peaceful and very artistic.

This is simple, but very pretty Sandy. I think I would like it better rotated 90 degrees CW. I love the splash of color.

Very elegant look in this white on white image, Sandy!. Love the comp and curves of the petals. The touches of color add such a beautiful dimension to this. Great job!

Sandy:
This is really elegant and a fabulous image. I have been working on magnolia in the last week and find it difficult. Your presentation is very unique and the high key works well here. I think Nathan is suggesting a CCW rotation.

Ummm..ok... here is 90 degrees CCW -
I am REALLY not sure about this one -
Sandy

(PS: the original version is the actual orientation of the bloom on the branch)

I do like the first repost Sandy. It looks like you did not crop off as much (or any) off of that repost - I think if it was cropped like the original post, and rotated like the first repost then that would work best for me.

The composition and the tones are very elegant, Sandy. But I like it more without the frame

Lot's of opinions on this one, although everyone (me included) agrees that this is a beautiful image. Personally, I like the orientation of the 2nd repost, but they all work well. :toast:

Beautiful image Sandy! I really like the high key presentation. The lighting and details are very well done. My preference is the original orientation.

Congratulations on the EP!

I have seen many versions but the original is my favorite.
Cheers.

Sandy - this is a beautiful image made stronger by your wonderful use of line, form and colour. I actually like all three versions you've presented, but the original is what first grabbed me and I always lean toward the original orientation in nature.

Outstanding work, as usual!
