This is the first rose that has opened. We did not have much of a cold spell and my plants are starting to put off the most beautiful blooms already. I usually am taking pics of wildlife, but I could not pass this rose by. Any c & c's welcome. Thank you for looking!

Beautiful, Carlette. Classic red rose expertly captured. I like the DOF, and the dew drops. My only minor nit here is the distracting stem going horizontally across the bottom. I don't know whether this could have been avoided. Maybe you could clone it out.

Carlette:
This rose is surely very beautiful and the drops make it look refreshing. The bg is mostly fine except for the horizontal branch. Hopefully you can avoid it if you have a chance to re-take. Otherwise, either do a real tight crop or clone it out.

The flower is beautifully separated from the bg, Carlette, and nicely captured altogether. Agree about the lower stem being maybe a touch distracting - but then that's nature !

Hi Carlette :wavey: Your first rose of the year is beautifully captured. cropping or cloning the bottom of the stem would make this image even better
