I stand corrected this bird is a Standerling, not a Lesser Sand-Plover.
I came across a group of Lesser Sand-Plover on a small strip of beach in Ogunquit, Maine.

How about Sanderling (Calidris alba) in winter plumage? Lesser Sand-Plover is an Asian species and a Code 3 Rarity in the U.S.

I like the overall look and exposure presented here. The dark tones and textures of the beach give this a nice mood.
