Snowy Owl at First Light

I was waiting for the sun to peak over the horizon for this shot, having arrived at Ocean Shores, WA well before sunrise. I've actually desaturated the oranges a hair, but this is pretty accurate in terms of color (it was a beautiful morning to say the least!) Shouuld I pull back on the colors a bit more?

7D, 1-400mm IS, 1/125@5.6, ISO400.

Congrats, Dan. The colors are quite nice. Looks like I really missed out on the nicest weather down there... nice to know someone took advantage of it.

This is a beauty, Dan. I think I was not far away, as I've got a similar shot. I'd leave the colors alone. I like the muddy feet and the alert pose. Fresh in from a long night of hunting. :toast:

I like the catch light in the one eye and I would not change a thing on this one, wonderful sunrise glow and I like the composition with the snowy on a driftwood and purple sky background, very cool image, well done.
