dew drops on a spider web above sphagnum. I'm glad to see the transition to spring macros from ice patterns...

Nikon D200, Sigma 180mm
iso 100, f16, 1/20 sec

thanks for your thoughts

First rate image, Reed. I wasn't expecting anything this impressive from the thumbnail. The larger version is even more impressive. Outstanding, actually. If this were mine, I'd probably clean up/clone out a couple of the dark spots, but this is very minor. Super image. Thanks for sharing this one.

thanks scott, I was in a bit of a rush so here is another version with some cloning and some sharpening masks applied to the water droplets... I think this is better

Love the drops that look like they are floating on the plant! Good details and plane of focus control. A thought would be to crop up some from the bottom since there are few drops there.

Great capture! In the small version, the spider's web is invisible, which adds some visual intrigue. The larger version is absolutely delightful to explore visually.

Looks like bubbles in a fish tank Reed. This is just too cool. Nice job. Congratulations on the weekly pick.

Lovely image, though a bit confusing to the brain until I read the bit about the spider web. Truly unique and very well executed.
