Anhinga at Leesburgh, Florida

Canon 500mm
Canon 7D

At first sight I was wishing I had more DOF but I kinda like the soft focus on the head and neck -- for me it emphasizes the outstretched neck or am I just imagining that to make the picture work?

I think I'd prefer to see the head and especially the eye sharp, but you got a great view of the feather pattern on the back and tail. A little more DOF or a better shooting angle would have been better, IMO.

While the detail on the back is nice, I also would like to see the head and eye sharp. :toast:

cool pose, Scott, but for me the head needs to be sharper.
