After pondering to try or not to try, this is my first attempt at scanning. Let me know what you think. All comments most appreciated. Especially since I'm on a learning curve here.

Bob, I've never done any scanning myself, although I'd certainly like to begin when I get a little more time. My opinion, though limited, is that this is an excellent first effort. In fact, I'd call it excellent even from a skilled scanning veteran. I like it a lot. Beautiful and very artistic. :toast:

Wow! You are on top of the scanning curve already. :toast: :toast: :toast:
Top mark for arrangement and post processing. I like the peek look into the tulip center with the petal turned down and the inclusion of the leaf is masterful. Very Fernstein like.

This is something I'd love to delve into myself, but just havent taken the jump yet.
From all the scans I've seen, this is very nicely done Bob! The arrangement is excellent and it certainly does glisten.

Wow, this looks like a photo from a "pro" scanner, Bob! Wonderful comp with the lowered petal. Great details and color. I really like the depth that scans reveal.

Great flow through the frame, with striking colors and, of course, the bent petal view of the innards adds a lot. To my eye, the colors in the petals seem very contrasty, is that a scanner effect?

Bob, great job here. I love working with the scanner; it's very challenging. Great detail on the petals. What type of scanner are you using? I find that composition is the most challenging. Keep up the good work.
